THERE IS A MOSQUITO IN MY ROOM

I SAW YOU, YOU BASTARD

WHERE DID YOU GO

my house right now is the battleground of the War on Mosquitoes 2012

tonight there has been one mosquito casualty with collateral of a moth and a bug I can’t identify

so far no human casualties

after my mom’s extroversion put me through its paces for the past few days

I feel well justified in just putting on music and entering a purely vegetative state

so here have a gif

passport applications are complicated

especially when you need to submit and expedite that sucker by tomorrow in order to get it in time for your cruise

…as in two weeks and one day

For those who care, first Elementary preview.

You know what?

Well Jonny Lee Miller looks fantastic, I’m just still really really unsure about a girl Watson. I feel like it will throw off the dynamic of the show. I don’t know, I’ll definitely give it a chance though!

Alright, alright, not bad. We’ll give it a chance.

I don’t like it. And it’s not just the fact that it looks very ~inspired by the BBC Sherlock or the fact that we have Joan, not John, but Sherlock stays Sherlock. I really wouldn’t mind the gender swap and try Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson solving crimes. But they only changed John, so a. the leading man stays a man and b. it’s an American show, so I’m sure it did come from being afraid of the homosexual innuendos in some way. But it’s not what pissed me of the most. The most annoying thing here is the character of Holmes. Because we all know Moffat and Gatiss are fanboys and they make the show as great as they can, because they just care about this so much. And about canon. From what I’ve seen (and yes, I haven’t seen much), they changed Holmes character into somebody as brilliant, but more emotional, just to make him more attractive for the audience. And yes, he had his super rude moment when he proved the woman she’s lying, but come on, ‘sometimes I hate it when I’m wrong’? Or saying sorry to John, just like that? In Sherlock John was surprised Holmes apologized in SECOND SEASON OF THE SHOW. What I’m trying to say is, Holmes is not supposed to be well liked, although we all love him. Holmes is not supposed to be made softer just for the audience. In BBC Sherlock, my favourite character isn’t Holmes, he’s not even on second or third place. I think the character is brilliant, one of a kind and should be remembered forever. But it’s a cold character, even if so fragile, caring is not an advantage. And I’m not buying a lie about this character just because the audience must like him, he’s leading. So what? If it was ANYBODY else, if he was called Jared Winters, I’d probably be interested, because the trailer looks good. But he’s called Sherlock Holmes and I think it’s just a lie and I think it’s just something to earn money from, because they saw BBC Sherlock was the biggest success. That’s why I’m negative about Elementary. But I might be wrong, because after all, it’s only a trailer.

I don’t care how good the trailer looks, I’m expecting it to fall into standard American television tropes within the first three episodes.
